SundayHQ

The service booklet that assembles itself.

Pick the hymns. Paste the psalm. Print. SundayHQ already knows which Sunday it is — the readings, the collect, the colour — and sets your whole order of service in your parish's own style, folded and ready for the pews.

Every Sunday from Advent to Christ the King, in its liturgical colour — computed by the same engine that builds your booklet.

Three clicks to Sunday

Step one

Answer two questions

Which season, and traditional or contemporary language — that's the whole set-up. Your complete order of service builds itself, and you can adjust any single part if your church does it differently.

You do this once.

Step two — each week

Pick hymns, paste the psalm

SundayHQ shows the day's readings and suggests hymns that fit them, with the reason for each. Choose yours, drop in the psalm, add a notice or two.

Step three

Print and fold

One click gives you an A5 booklet imposed for your photocopier — duplex, fold, done — or an A4 sheet in larger type. Your name, your colours, correct copyright lines on the back.

What it already knows

The church's calendarEaster, moveable feasts, the Sundays after Trinity, Kingdom season — any date, decades ahead. When Advent or Lent arrives, it offers the seasonal order — Gloria rested, Tract in place of the Alleluia — with one click.

The lectionaryPrincipal service readings with both Old Testament tracks, so the right citations are simply there.

Hymns that fitSuggestions matched to the readings, each with a one-line reason your music group can argue with.

Your parish's voiceYour own texts, colours and cover — a seasonal frame, a quiet simple cover, or a full-page design of your own — stored once, printed every week.

Questions a PCC would ask

Is this allowed, with Common Worship being copyright?

Yes — and the design takes it seriously. Your church already holds the right to reproduce Common Worship texts in its own local service booklets. SundayHQ is the typesetting tool: you paste the texts your church is authorised to use, we set them beautifully, and the required acknowledgment (© The Archbishops' Council 2000) is added to every booklet automatically. Traditional-language texts are included ready to use.

Which lectionary and calendar does it follow?

The Common Worship principal service lectionary (Revised Common Lectionary), with the Church of England's calendar — including the Sundays before Lent, Kingdom season, and feasts that fall on Sundays.

Which hymn books does it know?

Suggestions currently reference Complete Anglican Hymns Old and New, with more hymnals to follow. You can always type any hymn in by hand.

What do we need to print it?

Any office printer or photocopier that prints A4 double-sided. The booklet arrives already imposed: print, flip on the short edge, fold, staple if you like.

We're not very technical. How hard is set-up?

Set-up is two questions: which season, and traditional or contemporary. Traditional texts are all built in; contemporary parishes paste their own texts once, with a checklist showing exactly which. After that, a churchwarden who can use email can produce Sunday's booklet.
